CCEM Marks National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: Honouring Survivors and Supporting a Path to Healing and Reconciliation
? National Day for Truth and Reconciliation ?
Today, at the Canadian Centre for Electron Microscopy, we pause to honour the survivors, families, and communities affected by the residential school system and the ongoing impact of colonization on Indigenous Peoples across Canada. Truth and reconciliation are essential in acknowledging our history and working toward a future rooted in respect, understanding, and healing.
We encourage everyone in our community to take this day to reflect, learn, and take meaningful actions in support of reconciliation. Together, we can contribute to a more just and equitable future for all.

CCEM and McMaster University sits on the traditional Territories of the Mississauga & Haudenosaunee Nations & within the lands protected by the Dish With One Spoon wampum agreement.
The agreement is also a covenant with Nature: take what you need, leave something in the dish for others & keep the dish clean.
