New for all users – Keycafe
To promote the safety of our instruments and users, CCEM is implementing a Keycafe system to control the distribution of the physical keys for unlocking our microscope room doors. This Keycafe system is used to store and release the keys and is connected to MacLIMS. Each booked session through MacLIMS will have a unique PIN associated with the booking to access the keys. Instructions for the Keycafe can be found in this user manual or video.
We ask that all users lock the doors at the end of your session and return the key to the cabinet for the next user when working after hours. You will need to retrieve the keys for your session during the following times:
- If working after hours;
- If your session starts during day-time and moves to after hours;
Keys can also be retrieved anytime a door to the instrument is found locked, even during day-time use. The Keycafe gives all users access to a key for the respective booked instrument and the glove box room (B161/S). The sample preparation room (B161/F) and SEM sample preparation room (B161/P) will remain unlocked. Using the Keycafe allows CCEM to easily and securely give access to all users!
The KeyCafe system will be coming online starting August 2, 2022.
