Understanding Science and Race Workshops Series
Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) are a priority at CCEM.
Join us in our first series of workshops on EDI topics and understanding its importance in science. CCEM will be joined by McMaster EDI experts to introduce you to the relationship of race and science, and your role. These workshops are free and open to all.
Session 1: Science and Race – While many believe science and race are distinct, they are interconnected in many ways. This talk will look at how science and race are connected that will look at representation in the sciences, the history of science and the inequities that don’t allow everyone from pursuing the sciences.
